New Orleans by Night started back in 2003 when Dare and Care were a couple of centuries old and have lived in New Orleans for a good portion of their lives, going back and forth between the States and France. They share a mortal twin bond which cannot be broken so much so that if one dies the other does as well. This bond runs thicker than any supernatural bond and, in its own way IS a supernatural bond.
